Welcome to the homepage of Dr. Benjamin D. Braaten at North Dakota State University, Fargo ND. We specialize in phased array antennas, conformal antennas, antenna designs for RFID, electromagnetic interference (EMI), computational electromagnetics, antennas in complex radiation environments and metamaterial-based antenna designs.

Some of our latest work (updated 12/11/14):

Development of prototype switches (copper looking cylinders in the right picture) that can be controlled with static DC magnetic fields. We are currently embedding these devices into dielectric material to controll the electromagnetic properties. This research is being conducted with a team at SDSU, UND and NDSU and funded with the ND-SD Inter-Institutional Collaboration Fund.
