In conclusion, dose-related effects of LinumLife EXTRA, administered in the diet, were observed in this model of prostate hyperplasia induced in male Wistar rats. LinumLife EXTRA, administered at the dose of 1%, showed significant effects on body weight gain, food and water consumptions and prostate weights in comparison with standard diet in rats submitted to the induction of prostate hyperplasia. It allowed a significant body weight gain, normal food and water consumptions and a significant reduction of the increase of prostate weights in comparison with LinumLife EXTRA at the dose of 0.5% and standard diet. LinumLife EXTRA administered at the dose of 0.5% showed only significant effects on prostate weights in comparison with standard diet, reducing the increase of prostate weights in rats submitted to the induction of prostate hyperplasia.
