Before Commencement
- See your adviser about degree completion.
- Submit the Commencement
Participation Form to the Graduate School by the appropriate deadline (March 15
for Spring Commencement or October 31 for Fall Commencement) to participate in
Commencement.
- Make sure your plan of study has been filed with the Graduate School (Old Main 201).
Post-defense procedures for completing dissertations, theses, and papers
Disquisition Completion Fee Information
- All graduate students are assessed a $25 graduation processing fee. This fee is
included in the completion package for students completing a master's thesis or
paper or a doctoral dissertation.
- All students who have completed coursework and are not required to submit a disquisition need to complete the Application for Graduate Degree.
To Participate in Commencement
- Your Request to
Schedule the final oral examination must be filed with the Graduate School
no later than 5:00 p.m. on April 18, 2008.
- Your final oral examination must be taken and passed no later than May 2, 2008. The Report of Final Examination must be submitted to the Graduate School by May 2, 2008.
Additional information
- To graduate with a May 2008 graduation date, submit at least five final
Graduate School approved copies of your disquisition to the Graduate School no
later than May 9, 2008. Final copies submitted after this date will be
eligible for a May degree date.
- You may only participate once in Commencement for a given degree. If you participate this year and do not finish your degree, you may not participate next year.
