NDSU in Top 100 Research Rankings

Based on research expenditures, NDSU is listed in the top 100 research universities in the country in at least eight National Science Foundation research categories for FY 2006, the latest year for which statistics are available. When ranked by R&D expenditures among 517 research universities without a medical school, NDSU ranks 42nd among the universities and colleges in the NSF report. NDSU also ranks in the top 100 in agricultural sciences, chemistry, physical sciences, psychology, and social sciences, as shown in this Fact Sheet. |
