The NDSU Technology Transfer Office (NDSU/TTO)

NDSU/TTO serves as a link between the University and the NDSU Research Foundation (NDSU/RF). Once an invention report is made to the NDSU/TTO and assignment of the invention is completed, then NDSU assigns the invention to the NDSU Research Foundation to handle the protection and commercialization of the technology.

The NDSU/RF will develop the appropriate patent, plant variety protection (PVP) or trademark applications, and then market the technology to outside sources for potential licensing. The successful licensing of these technologies provides financial assistance to university departments as well as the inventors, and any revenues are distributed according to university policy.

The NDSU/TTO is located in Research 1, Room 124 at the NDSU Research and Technology Park near the grounds of North Dakota State University. Director Dale Zetocha, along with the professional staff, will provide assistance and direction and answer questions or concerns regarding any intellectual property issues. Feel free to stop in or call (701) 231-6659 or (701) 231-6681 or contact us by e-mail. We look forward to hearing from you and assisting you in your research and discovery efforts.
