College of Arts, Humanities and Social Sciences Community Agreement

Students who have requested to live in the AHSS Community should complete the form below. Completion of the online form does not guarantee assignment to the AHSS Community, as assignments will still be made based on application received date. However, an assignment to the AHSS Community will not be made for students who do not complete the form below.

Why would you like to live in the AHSS Community?

I will support the College of AHSS's motto: "Challenging You to Change the World" by participating in at least one service project each semester. (Type initials to show agreement.)

I am enrolled in one of these departments in the College of AHSS: Art; Communication; Criminal Justice and Political Science; Emergency Management; English; History, Philosophy, and Religious Studies; Modern Languages; Music; Sociology and Anthropology; Theatre Arts. (Initial.)

I will support the community by actively planning and participating in social, cultural, and academic community activities, including when faculty members are present. (Initial.)

I will contribute to the positive welfare of the community by my attitude and behavior. (Initial.)

I will respect and academically support others in the AHSS community. (Initial.)

Unless I am required to take another section, I will sign up for a Thompson section of UNIV 189 and English 120 which will be directly correlated to the community. You will be assisted in this scheduling during orientation. If you have questions on scheduling, please contact Linda Fricker at 701.231.9763. (Initial.)

I understand that these are promises I am making while I line in the community, and that failure to uphold the expectations of the above agreement may result in my removal from the AHSS house and reassingment to another floor/building. (Initial.)
