Residence Hall Association
The Residence Hall Association (RHA) is made up of members from each residence hall who meet weekly with the executive board in the Arikara room of the Union on Monday nights at 7. RHA provides participants with excellent opportunities to be engaged on campus, develop lifelong leadership skills, and have fun! Some of RHA's efforts include (but are certainly not limited to):
- Annual campus-wide events such as Bison Blizzard Bash, Decades Dance, and welcome week Luao.
- Residence Life Cinema, the on-campus cable channel that shows new and classic movies selected by students
- The Readership Program, that provides on-campus students with daily copies of USA Today, Minneapolis Star Tribune, and Fargo Forum newspapers
- Help push campus initiatives, recent examples are the Blue Box Emergency lights on campus and increased lighting in parking lots and sidewalks.
RHA is funded by an $83 non-refundable fee charged to all residence hall students each year. The RHA Fee provides funding for its’ operation including but not limited to programming, leadership training, conference attendance & travel, recreational equipment, scholarships, public relations, promotional materials/incentives & prizes, and recognition.
