Census 2000 Profiles: DP-1 through DP-4

Description of Profiles

We have organized access to North Dakota data from a series of Census 2000 profiles for varying levels of geography (including state, counties, American Indian Reservations, and cities/townships), called DP-1 through DP-4. Access profiles

• General Demographic Characteristics (DP-1) covers:
  • Sex and age
  • Race and Hispanic/Latino origin
  • Households, including relationship, household by type, housing occupancy, housing tenure
• Selected Social Characteristics (DP-2) covers:
  • School enrollment
  • Educational attainment
  • Marital status
  • Grandparents as caregivers
  • Veteran status
  • Disability status
  • Residence in 1995
  • Nativity and place of birth, region of birth among foreign born, language spoken at home, ancestry
• Selected Economic Characteristics (DP-3) covers:
  • Employment status
  • Commuting to work
  • Occupation, industry, class of worker
  • Income in 1999, including households, families, per capita, gender
  • Poverty status, including families, single mothers, individuals by age
• Selected Housing Characteristics (DP-4) covers:
  • Total housing units, including housing units in structure, year structure built, number of rooms
  • Occupied housing units, including year householder moved into unit, vehicles available, house heating fuel, selected characteristics of "substandard" housing
  • Occupants per room
  • Value
  • Mortgage status and selected monthly owner costs, including as a percentage of household income in 1999
  • Gross rent, including as a percentage of household income in 1999
