- 'At least 1 problem' refers to housing units with at least one of the following problems: lacking complete kitchen facilities, lacking complete plumbing facilities, overcrowded (more than 1 person per room).
- 'No Problems' refer to housing units with none of the above-mentioned problems.
- 'Elderly' household refers to a household with 1 or 2 persons 62 years or older.
- 'Non-Elderly Family' household refers to a household with 2 persons related by birth, marriage or adoption and neither are 62 years or older, or 3 or more persons where 1 of the 3 is related to the householder by birth, marriage or adoption.
- 'Other' household refers to non-elderly non-family households with 1 person under 62 years, 2 unrelated persons where neither person is 62 or older, or 3 or more unrelated persons.
