Transportation Forums
ABSTRACT: A minimum of two open forums will be held next year to give students the opportunity to express their concerns with transportation to the correct university and community officials.
GENERAL: For many years NDSU Student Government has known that one of the largest issues on campus for all students has been transportation, but there has never been a time or place for students to express those concerns. This program would give students the ability to express not only their concerns but also their ideas to facilities management, Student Government and MAT bus. By creating these opportunities for open dialogue, students will be able to get direct answers on how their concerns can be dealt with in the future.
PROCESS: Student Government will coordinate with facilities management and MAT bus to find at least two open dates to hold the forums in the fall semester. During these forums the students who have questions about the transportation options on campus will have the opportunity to have these questions answered but will also have the opportunity to meet with Student Senators to brainstorm projects to improve transportation on campus. After the transportation forums have taken place, Student Government will work with facilities management and MAT bus to find options to address the student concerns.
