Specializations: Cultural heritage, archaeological ethnography, democracy, development, the environment, rights, place-making; transnationalism, Middle East and North Africa, Spain.
Dr. Lafrenz Samuels will be on leave this coming academic year to undertake a Fulbright Fellowship in Tromso, Norway, hosted by the Norwegian Institute for Cultural Heritage Research. While there she will conduct ethnographic research at the High North Research Centre for Climate and the Environment.
