Your Student's NDSU Experience
During your student's experience at NDSU, there may be several subjects you wish to learn more about so as to best assist your student. This section of Student Success Program's website is aimed at providing helpful tips and links so that you may be of optimal assistance.
Tip of the Month!
With the end of summer approaching, you may be feeling like you didn’t fully prepare your student for college. You may be asking yourself if you had all the necessary conversations and question if he/she will adjust effectively to NDSU. The key to this scenario is knowing when you’re offering useful information versus unwanted advice. For instance, make sure your student knows how to do laundry, how to balance and manage money, how to prepare basic food, and how to make responsible decisions concerning alcohol and other drugs. Overall, keep conversations going with your student and check-in often to see how your student is feeling about the transition.
