Project Title: ITS Clusters & Classroom Service Center
Award number: 0312
Project Leader: Brian Abraham
Report Period: final
In this proposal, we received funding to support the services already started. This includes the full-time salary for the Service Center Manager, James Kapaun and the salaries of students who deliver assistance to users in the Service Center and clusters located in the IACC, Fine Arts, and the library.
Progress toward Milestones:
Purchases made were digital cameras, laptops, and new software and hardware for the multimedia workstations.
Printers and plotters were purchased from the ITS printing fund and we are still confident that we can continue to provide the students with the same low cost special printing.
The Service Center provides equipment for people to checkout, such as: laptops, multimedia projectors, document cameras, camcorders, digital cameras, VCR, and speakers. In addition we offer specialized printing, multimedia and video editing assistance. Also, the Service Center schedules cluster and multimedia carts for the campus.
The $6,857 of the carry over is from student labor. We budget for the hours we are open however when students call in sick or when they show up late this saves money. This year seemed to be pretty exceptional for the amount saved and isnít the norm.
