Technology Fee Awards Announcement

Funding for Fall 2002

The NDSU Technology Fee Advisory Committee is pleased to announce the awards of the September 15, 2002, Call for Proposals. The recommendations of the committee were forwarded to the Provost and Vice President for Academic Affairs Dr. Craig Schnell and he has approved the following proposals to receive funding support.

  • 0213 Completion of NDSU CCBN Cluster, Stefan Balaz, $21,800
    This project is to assist in the creation of Silicon Graphics workstations for molecular modeling funded primarily by a NIH grant and the College of Pharmacy and will be networked with UND.

  • 0215 Technology Upgrade Proposal for Van Es 105-107, Douglas Freeman, $10,000
    This proposal will support the installation of permanent multi-media station in Van Es 105-107 to improve the quality of instruction and provide greater safety for students.

  • 0216 Expansion of Library Database Services, Nem Schlecht, $3,300
    The project is to replace an old and slower home-built server with a faster and larger server to include ND Periodicals Index database as well as archiving University electronic materials, e.g., theses and dissertations, and other materials.
