TRIO Programs

 


TRiO Scholarship

We are now accepting applications for the first annual TRiO scholarship. Completed scholarship applications will be accepted through 5:00 pm March 27, 2013.

Eligibility criteria:

  • currently participating in a TRiO Program at North Dakota State University
  • minimum cumulative GPA of a 3.0
  • must have unmet need as established by the Student Financial Services office

All interested students must  provide a completed application, an unofficial copy of their transcripts, essay, signed Release of Photograph form along with a jpeg photo of themselves. If no photo is available, contact Anna Sheppard to schedule an appointment to have your photograph taken.

Email completed application to Janine Trowbridge and drop off application materials to Ceres 335.

Award recipients will be named at the TRiO Day banquet April 17, 2013.

The Federal TRIO Programs are educational opportunity outreach programs designed to motivate and support students from disadvantaged backgrounds. TRIO includes six outreach and support programs targeted to serve and assist low-income, first-generation college students, and students with disabilities to progress through the academic pipeline from middle school to post-baccalaureate programs.
