Peer Observation in the Classroom

Guidelines for Classroom Observation
- provides suggestions for structure and points to consider for 1) Pre-observation conference, 2) Classroom observation, and 3) Post observation conference

Rubric Format
- sketches basic idea of individuals or departments stepping into 
the rubric at whatever level
Summary Rubric
- summarizes the basic action steps of each of the subcells of the rubric
Principles of Learning
- summarizes the principles of how people learn as presented  in five books referenced in this summary
Notes from "Changing Practices in Evaluating Teaching,  A Practical Guide to Improved Faculty Performance and Promotion/Tenure Decision"
-lists those aspects of teaching that peers can evaluate, but not students
Complete Rubric
- gives the details of the action steps of each of the subcells of the rubric; rationalizes these details by referencing principles of how people learn that pertain to the details

- some explanatory notes referenced in the complete rubric
