General Information & Eligibility
- IT Award nominations are solicited and accepted from the campus in January of each year
- A nomination for either the Individual IT I.C.E. (Innovation, Collaboration, Excellence) Award or the IT Team Award should provide specific evidence to substantiate how an IT need for the Division, a department, or constituents of the campus was resolved or addressed within the last 18 months
- Individuals on the selection committee cannot submit a nomination; however, they are eligible for all awards. If nominated, another representative from the IT Division temporarily serves as a substitute voting member
- Nominations are accepted online. To request an alternative format, contact the committee chair
- The Vice President for Information Technology announces award recipients during the first quarter of each calendar year
- A recognition event honors the award recipients and nominees
Award Receipients Receive
I.C.E. Award
- The IT Division provides registration and travel funds for a job-related conference of choice to be used within a 12 month period
- Has their picture displayed in a place of prominence for colleagues to view
- Receives a plaque for personal display
- May participate in various leadership activities
- Forfeits the conference funding should they leave the IT Division and the funding has yet to be disbursed
Team Award
- All eligible nominated teams members are formally recognized
- Each participating individual receives a certificate for personal display
- A group picture is displayed in place of prominence for colleagues to view
- Other recognition activities may also be considered
