IT Team Award Criteria Details

Eligibility
  • The team should include at least two full-time IT Division staff members, excluding the Vice President and Assistant/Associate Vice Presidents
  • May include students, cross functional IT department staff and anyone on campus who participated on a regular basis with the team effort
  • Work/project activities resolved an IT need for the IT Division, a department, or constituents of the campus
  • The project occurred within the last 18 months
  • Commitment to the IT Vision, Mission, Values and Guiding Principles was fundamental to the team
Criteria to Consider

Achievement and Success Driven

  • The team thoroughly planned, implemented, or executed a goal or project through a defined process (e.g., budget, timeline, meetings, engagement, follow-up)
  • The team addressed conflict, worked around or through obstacles, stayed focused or exhibited flexibility when necessary
  • The team provided a method to sustain their goal or project (if applicable)

Communication

  • Communicated clearly and accurately with stakeholders on a regular and timely basis
  • Exhibited a shared trust, open and honest discussions, constructive feedback and respect for others' contributions
  • The team focused on the customer

Commitment

  • Showed a strong passion for what they are doing and were dedicated to the goal
  • Team members were encouraged to participate in all aspects of the team’s goal
  • The team was committed to including individuals with varying roles and skills

Leadership

  • Members were empowered to serve in a leadership capacity on the team
  • Team members motivated, coached and mentored each other (e.g., support for personal growth and accountability)
  • Demonstrated strong collaboration and synergy within the team
