Who: Nazib Chowdhury, Major: Accountancy, Hometown: Dhaka, Bangladesh.

What do you recall from being a new student on campus?

“Culture shock. I lived in the residence hall and Resident Assistants and other peers were really good about it. With their help I made it through.”

Favorite experiences:

“Winning Resident Assistant of the Year last year. I’ve been an RA for three years.”

Future plans:

“I will be moving to Minneapolis, Minn., and working with Cargill Incorporated as an accountant.”

Groups:

Residence Hall Association, Student Government, International Student Association.

Advice:

“Try to get involved. Try to know as many people as you can your freshman year. Those are the people you will know throughout your college career. Meet with your adviser whenever possible. That really helps. That will be one of the important areas that will help you succeed. You might not see it until you become a senior or junior. During freshman year you will think you know everything, but you don’t. The advisers have gone through it.”
