What do you recall from being a new student on campus?
“Being from Omaha, I didn’t know anybody. I remember feeling out of place and lost but at the same time excited to start the college career. My first semester was really mediocre at NDSU. It wasn’t until my second semester that I got involved on campus. When I got involved on campus, I started feeling connected. I started meeting a lot more people. I started having more things to do. Being involved was what really helped me feel connected to NDSU and really helped me overcome that sense of feeling lost.”
Favorite experiences:
“One of my favorite experiences was being involved on Homecoming Royalty this past fall. I was selected to be on the Homecoming Court and just going to a bunch of NDSU events to rally the student spirit. It was an honor being selected for it.”
Future plans:
Clowe hopes to attend law school next year.
Groups:
Theta Chi fraternity, Interfraternity Council, Greek Programming Council, Habitat for Humanity, Student Governmental Relations and Intercollegiate Affairs Committee, Finance Commission for Student Government, and participated in Relay for Life and Dance Marathon
Advice:
“Get involved. We have about 275 student organizations of varying interest. As an incoming student you can really develop a network right away. You can build your leadership skills and impact your campus. Student involvement is the biggest thing for me. It’s defined my college career.”
