Just Starting to Ride: Wish I Had a Horse Camp

June 3-7, 2018

Ages: 8 to 10

Early Bird Fee $275, Regular Fee $300          

Camp Description: Have you always wanted a horse? This camp is for you! Come learn how to saddle, bridle, ride, lead, and care for a horse. From grooming demonstrations to a halter show, this is your chance to experience what owning a horse is like. This is a beginner camp for youth interested in horses; an animal is not required.

You're the Chef

June 3-7, 2018

Ages: 11 and older

Early Bird Fee $275, Regular Fee $300        

Camp Description: Here's your chance to become a top-notch chef! From learning how to make treats to outdoor cooking and food preservation, the camp is designed for youth who love cooking. It's your chance to practice using certified kitchen equipment, explore Farm to Fork, the ugly food movement, and the science of food! Of course, you eat wheat you cook!

Livestock Camp

June 10-14, 2018

Ages: 8 and older

Early Bird Fee $275, Regular Fee $300              

Camp Description: Learn how to show and fit your livestock in preparation for you county fair or achievement day! Learn to groom, clip, and show a variety of livestock. A Showmanship contest will be held and awards will be given. We will test your knowledge of livestock with quiz bowl activities. Everyone will make a rope halter to take home. Campers are encouraged to bring their own animals. No rabbits or swine. You will note which species to bring during the online registration.

Whopper Club: Fishing Camp

June 10-14, 2018

Ages: 10 and older

Early Bird Fee $275, Regular Fee $300             

Camp Description: This camp is for youth who love to fish. Fish every day of this camp on some of the best fishing lakes in the state. Campers will do tackle crafting, learn fishing knots, how to use fish biology, and a rod holder project. Transportation and bait supplied.

Clover Camp I

June 15-16, 2018
Ages 5-9

Check In starts at 10 a.m. on Friday
Camp ends at 1 p.m. on Saturday

Early Bird Fee $150, Regular Fee $175
Registration includes one child and one parent or guardian      
Each additional child $65    

Camp Description: Have you always wanted to try out 4-H Camp? Bring your parent or guardian and discover 4-H fun at camp! Together you will make new friends, explore the outdoors and appreciate one-on-one time in a beautiful outdoor setting. Campfire, crafts and exciting 4-H project activities await, let the adventure begin! Come see why 4-H campers have so much fun!

The parent or guardian attending must also register for Clover Camp. The invoice will reflect $0.00 as your registration fee is rolled in with the youth registration fee. The parent or guardian will go through our Youth Protection Policy screening before their registration is approved. If you have any questions regarding this process please call 701-231-7259.

Extreme Survivor

June 17-21, 2018

Ages: 10 and older

Early Bird Fee $275, Regular Fee $300              

Camp Description: Could you survive in the wilds of ND? Nature provides for all our basic needs, so come have fun building shelters, tracking animals, discovering cool and exciting wilderness skills like fishing, and orienteering. Youth will participate in after dark challenges and compete in team building activities to win the challenge trophy. Campers will sleep outside in a tent one night.

Outdoor Skills: Bullseye Archery Camp

June 17-21, 2018

Ages: 10 and older

Early Bird Fee $275, Regular Fee $300

Camp Description: Are shooting sports your passion? This camp is designed to improve your shooting skills. Youth will participate in 3-D, World Federation Archery Field Archery, and NFAA Field Archery. Archers will make an archery target butt or bow stand. Archery challenges and recreation will make for a full week of fun and skill development. Youth can bring their own equipment.

 

Create It: Science, Photography, Wood Working Camp

June 17-21, 2018

Ages: 8 and older

Early Bird Fee $275, Regular Fee $300             

Camp Description: Are you a tinkerer or like to try new things? This camp was made for you! Make new friends in the 4-H Camp studio. Participate in a variety of science, photography and wood working workshops to generate your own creations. You will be able to explore outdoors and participate in many other fun camps.

 

Discover North Dakota Camp

June 24-28, 2018

Ages: 8 to 12

Early Bird Fee $275, Regular Fee $300

Camp Description: Road trip around North Dakota and learn about North Dakota history. Youth will take day trips to Fort Mandan, Fort Lincoln, and other historical sites in North Dakota. Each day will consist of a different field trip, picnic lunch, and a North Dakota history lesson.

Completing the Pattern: Horse Camp

June 24-28, 2018

Ages: 11 and older

Early Bird Fee $275, Regular Fee $300

Camp Description: Learn how to improve your riding skill and practice common 4-H horse show classes such as showmanship, equitation, horsemanship, trail and games. Youth will learn about horse nutrition, training, selection and general care. Riding instruction will focus on improving the riders overall balance and control. Campers must provide their own horse. Horses must be well-trained and well mannered in a group setting away from home. The camper must be able to saddle, bridle, and ride their hose at a lope.

4-H Adventure Camp I: The "Whodunit" Mystery Camp

July 8-12, 2018

Ages: 12 and older

Early Bird Fee $275, Regular Fee $300

Camp Description: Learn how real-life investigators solve forensic cases. Youth will be part of a mystery that they must solve before camp ends. Campers will be part of collecting evidence, the basics of fingerprinting, DNA analysis, police investigative techniques and more. The camp will end with a dress-up mystery dinner, in which campers will try to solve the camp mystery using evidence they collected throughout the week.

Military Youth Camp I

This camp is open only to youth from military families

July 15-19, 2018

Ages: 8 to 11

Early Bird Fee $275, Regular Fee $300              

Camp Description: Develop your self-confidence, problem solving, and stress management skills while forming lifelong bonds with other military youth. Leadership, cooperation, and communication skills are taught through team building activities such as friendly competitions, water fun, and much more.

 

Military Youth Camp II

July 15-19, 2018

Ages: 12 to 16

Early Bird Fee $275, Regular Fee $300              

Camp Description: Strengthen your leadership and problem solving skills completing action packed activities while forming life long bonds with other military youth. Develop self-confidence, communication, and stress management skills through team building activities such as friendly competitions, water fun, and much more .

4-H Adventure Camp II: Ninja Challenge

July 29-August 2, 2018

Ages: 8 to 11

Early Bird Fee: $275, Regular Fee: $300

Camp Description: Do you have what it takes? Each day brings a new experience including one day with a course designed by the contestants. Run obstacles and perform challenges to see which team and individuals win the title Ninja Challenge!

Junkin' It: Reuse and Recycle Camp

August 5-9, 2018

Ages: 10 and older

Early Bird Fee $275, Regular Fee $300

Camp Description: Reduce. Reuse. Recycle. Design It! Learn the principles of design and test your creativity to make home decor and other items using recyclable materials. Learn how to reduce, reuse and recycle in your community. Make lifelong friends, explore the outdoors and participate in many other camp recreation activities.
