National Merit Scholarship Corporation
Amount: Your National Merit Scholarship covers base tuition and student fees. Housing is covered up to the high rise double occupancy room rate for the fall and spring semesters. The meal plan is provided at the full 7-day plan.
Eligibility: Awarded to National Merit finalists who have listed NDSU as their first college choice. Finalists must specify NDSU as their first college choice with National Merit Scholarship Corporation by June 1 of the year you plan to enroll.
North Dakota Academic Scholarship
Amount: $1,500/year (four years of eligibility)
Eligibility: North Dakota resident students may apply for the Academic Scholarship awarded by the North Dakota Department of Public Instruction. This award is based on high school GPA, ACT or SAT test scores and courses completed in high school. See your high school counselor for a complete list of course requirements. Submit application at www.dpi.state.nd.us/scholarship.
Fargo Moorhead Area Foundation
Eligibility: The Fargo Moorhead Area Foundation has various scholarship opportunities for local area students. Requirements and application procedures can be found at areafoundation.org/ index.php/scholarships.
North Dakota Scholars Program
Amount: Equivalent to North Dakota resident tuition, approximately $6,762 per year (four years of eligibility)
Eligibility: The North Dakota Scholars Program, a merit-based scholarship, provides approximately 40 to 50 new freshman scholarships to North Dakota’s best and brightest high school graduates. North Dakota Indian Scholarship Program
Amount: Scholarships range from $800 to $2,000 per academic year. Recipients must maintain GPAs of 2.0 or higher.
Eligibility: Based on scholastic ability and financial need, between 150 and 175 scholarships are available to enrolled members of North Dakota Indian tribes. Applicants must be North Dakota residents and enrolled members of federally recognized Indian tribe. They must be accepted for admission by a North Dakota institution of higher learning or state vocational education program and be enrolled as full-time students. request an application from North Dakota University System.
Agricultural Leadership Scholarship
Eligibility: Incoming freshmen and transfer students enrolled in any major may apply for this award sponsored by Alpha Gamma Rho fraternity. Selection is based on academics, extracurricular participation and demonstrated leadership as they relate to agricultural activities (FFA, 4H, work, etc.). Associated General Contractors of North Dakota
Eligibility: Awarded to incoming freshmen with majors in either Construction Engineering or Construction Management. To apply online, go to http://agcnd.org/?id=38&nid=71
Real DEAL Scholarship
Eligibility: North Dakota students who have earned a GPA of 2.5 or higher, who plan to attend a North Dakota college or university may apply for this scholarship, which is awarded monthly from October to March. You must show involvement in school or community activities. For more information, go to dealstudentloan.nd.gov.
First Community Credit Union Scholarship
Amount: Scholarships range from $1,000 to $4,000.
Eligibility: Open for all incoming NDSU students, criteria is based upon academics, extracurricular activities, volunteer experience, work history, and an essay. The deadline is March 20th. To apply, go to the First Community Credit Union Scholarship page.
