Research: Genetic selection techniques focus on carcass merit in beef and lamb;  cooking methods to prevent warmed over flavor in beef; effect of marbling class on consumer evaluation of beef; effect of marbling class on wet and dry ageing of beef .  Statistical evaluation of livestock and meat judging on student performance. Nutritive value and meat yield evaluation of North Dakota game species.

Regional Research Committees:  NCR-111 Genetic improvement of beef cow/calf production; NDR -190, Improving production in sheep.

Classes taught: Animal Breeding, Animal Breeding Systems and Plans, Introduction and competitive Meat Judging, Meat Animal Evaluation Coach NDSU Meat Judging Team, Coach NDSU Meat Animal Evaluation Team.

Co-founder of and Faculty advisor to Carnivore Catering.

Co-founder and presenter for Bar B Q Bootcamps
