My Extension program is focused mainly on development and demonstration of livestock management strategies that help guide producer efforts to optimize various production systems. Specific program efforts include topics such as feed sampling and analysis, ration formulation, mineral supplementation, and livestock business management. My research experience includes beef cattle backgrounding and finishing programs, supplementation of grazing beef cows, and influence of fetal programming on animal performance and carcass quality.
I grew up near Melstone, MT on my family's cow-calf operation. I have two sisters (Lesley and Kelsey), and one brother (Josh). I earned my Bachelor's and Master's degrees from Montana State University (Go Bobcats!).
My husband Ross and I operate a commercial Limousin operation near Midland, SD, with his parents, Gary and Jody. We have three kids: Kaelan, Kash, and Karlee. We raise a few horses and really enjoy ranch life and traveling.
