Leadership Awareness Weekend (LAW)
UND School of LAW will host Leadership Awareness Weekend (LAW) to help you learn all about the Judicial System! You will meet attorneys, LAW students, judges, professors, and many others who support the judicial system.
LAW prepares youth in civic engagement topics. This two-day event will offer engaging, hands-on activities that will help you understand:
- The branches of government
- Courtroom etiquette and how the court system works
- Law Enforcement’s role
- And More!
LAW is for any youth in grades 7 - 12 in the fall of 2023 who are interested in civic engagement and the political process.
Cost
$50 (includes shirt, 2 meals and snacks)
Registration is open until December 31, 2023
Location
This event takes place at the UND School of Law in Grand Forks, North Dakota. Overnight housing is on your own. Links to hotel room discounts will be provided to registered families.
Housing
Overnight housing on your own. For your convenience, blocks of hotel rooms have been reserved at the state rate of $96.30. Youth must stay overnight with a responsible adult.

Service Project
Our service project this year is to bring as many paper towel rolls to stock the Ronald McDonald House in Fargo. The Ronald McDonald House provides families who have members hospitalized with a room, food, and support. Please help us support this program by bringing 1 or many paper towel rolls.
