NDSU Extension of Morton County will be offering a face-to-face training this fall for Private General Pesticide applicators.  A pesticide certification training is required for those whose renewals are up or want to be initially certified. Those who initially certify will need to take an exam, testing will not be available on site. Please see below. The cost is $30 for Private General Pesticide Certification.

If you are part of the COVID-19 at-risk population, please consider not participating in this face-to-face training. Alternative options for winter will be made available later in December.

  • Pre-registration is required. The training site will have limited capacity.
  • Hand sanitizer, wipes and face masks will be available for use.
  • Receipts will not be handed out. Upon request, we will email or mail them to you.
  • If you are not feeling well, please do not attend. We will move your registration to another training.
  • If for some reason, we need to cancel the face-to-face training, we will still plan to meet virtually. Additional information will follow via email if this occurs.
  • Testing for new applicators will not occur at the trainings. We will contact you in 2022 to schedule a testing date.
  • Pesticide cards will not be mailed out until January 2022.
  • Walk-in registration will not be allowed.

It is important to understand that in-person activities pose an unknown level of risk due to COVID-19. Participation is voluntary. NDSU Extension will take all reasonable measures, but cannot, at any level, assure protection from exposure. Conditions associated with the pandemic may result in postponement, transition to online training or cancellation of the activity. We are also required to follow the most current NDSU masking requirements.
