We value the service of our military men and women at NDSU. This fall, military men and women can save up to a semester when pursuing an undergraduate degree.

As a current or former military individual who received 15 or more transferable credits for military training, and wants to complete a 4-year degree may save a semester or more at NDSU if you major in Emergency Management, Political Science, or Criminal Justice.

We streamlined the College’s Bachelor of Science requirements for qualified students to earn a Bachelor of Science when sufficient transfer credits are awarded.

We understand that it is struggle to navigate University curricular requirements and your busy schedule in order to complete a Bachelor's Degree. Now, at NDSU, current and former military men and women major who want a degree in Emergency Management, Political Science, or Criminal Justice will receive formal recognition for their service counted towards completing their degree.

Students who earn an AA/AS degree from your department can save up to a semester or more if they major in Emergency Management, Political Science, or Criminal Justice at North Dakota State University.

Each of the departments that house these majors are waiving the requirement for students to complete a minor (approx. 5-8 classes or 15-24 credits) as part of earning a bachelor’s of science if the student has completed an AA or AS degree at an accredited institution. By virtue of their AA or AS, their general education would be complete typically, but, graduating within two additional years at NDSU remained out of reach for many. With this change, transfer students will be truly positioned to graduate in two years at NDSU when they major in one of these three areas.
