What: Two short films about early 20th century local history (30 minutes total, plus Q &A)

  • I Plan to Vote with My Daughters: The Story of Women’s Suffrage in North Dakota
  • Degree of Sisterhood: A history of the Alba Bales practice house

Who: The Fall 2019 NDSU Digital History class created both of these films this semester. The students have researched the topics, written the scripts, and planned the documentaries. Dr. Angela Smith and Joseph Nolting assembled and edited the films.
Why: Women’s history matters and local history matters. It is important to learn about those who came before us and the struggles they tackled. For these reasons, the Fargo History Project is committed to sharing regional untold stories with public audiences. Please join us and celebrate our history.
