Respiratory Care Internship
A Bachelor of Science degree, major in Respiratory Care, includes two or more years of course work and a 15-month full-time professional-level internship that includes a specialty clinical rotation. The full-time internship in the Sanford Health-Fargo Respiratory Care Program consists of lecture, lab, and clinical education, which prepares the student to enter the profession of respiratory care. Admission to the internship is selective and based upon successful completion of all internship prerequisites (20 resident credits at NDSU for transfer students), cumulative and core-course grade point averages, career motivation, references, and an interview. In addition, students must comply with criminal background, technical standard, and student conduct requirements. Applications are available from the NDSU Department of Allied Sciences. Deadline for submission of applications to Sanford Health-Fargo is March 1. An admission committee makes the selections.
