This page contains the link to the general scholarship application for incoming freshmen, transfer, and currently enrolled students at NDSU. Also included are links to external scholarship opportunities as well as tips and resources that all students should find useful as they search for and apply for scholarships.
The scholarship application is provided through AcademicWorks. Scholarship opportunities have varying deadlines and may also rely on FAFSA information for need-based awards. Be sure to submit all applications early to allow for optimal consideration. You may receive e-mails from AcademicWorks if you are selected for a scholarship or need to provide additional information for a scholarship opportunity. If you are required to submit a letter of recommendation for a scholarship, you are asked to provide an e-mail address of a reference. To ensure proper e-mail delivery, please add firstname.lastname@example.org to spam filters. AcademicWorks supports the latest versions of Google Chrome, Mozilla Firefox, Apple Safari, and Internet Explorer Versions 10 and 11.
Applications are reviewed based on your academic record as well as your answers to questions on the application. Some scholarships require essays, letters of recommendation and/or other documents. We recommend typing your essays in a word processing program to take advantage of spell checking. Once you are done, just copy and paste your text into the application.
