Two faculty members in the Department of Management and Marketing have had their research paper accepted for publication.
Derek Lehmberg, assistant professor of management and MBA co-director, and Chanchai Tangpong, professor of management, co-wrote “Employee primacy and corporate slogans in Japanese and American firms’ communication in times of crisis” that was accepted by the International Journal of Business Communications.
Lehmberg earned his bachelor’s degree at Northwestern University; his master’s degree from Kobe University, Japan; his Master of Business Administration at INSEAD, Fontainebleau, France; and his doctorate from Richard Ivey School of Business, Western University, Canada. His research interests are, strategic investment under technological uncertainty, competitive strategy and Japanese management.
Tangpong earned his bachelor’s degree at Prince of Songkhla University, Thailand; and his MBA and doctorate at Southern Illinois University. His research focuses on strategic values of firm-supplier relationships and firm capabilities, the role of human agents in inter-organizational dynamics, managerial and ethical decision making and management team dynamics and corporate turnaround.
