The Upper Great Plains Transportation Institute is offering five scholarships for juniors and seniors and one for an incoming freshman at NDSU to be awarded for the 2019-2020 Academic Year. Scholarships for NDSU juniors and seniors include:
- The Charles E. Herman Scholarship which recognizes academic achievement and promotes the education of transportation students with a preference to women and minorities at NDSU. Funding for one $2,000 scholarship is provided by the Charles E. Herman Scholarship Endowment Fund, NDSU Development Foundation.
- The Paul E.R. Abrahamson Transportation Scholarship which recognizes outstanding students at NDSU with an interest in the transportation and logistics of agricultural products. Funding for two $1,500 scholarships is provided by the Mountain Plains Consortium. The Upper Great Plains Transportation Institute is the lead institution of the eight-university consortium which is funded through the University Transportation Centers Program of the U.S. Department of Transportation.
- The Transportation Engineering Scholarship recognizes academic achievement and promotes the education of transportation students at NDSU. Funding for two $1,500 scholarships is also provided by the Mountain-Plains Consortium.
The Tribal Transportation Scholarship is for incoming freshmen with an interest in Transportation engineering, economics or agriculture. Funding for the $2,000 scholarship is provided by the Mountain-Plains Consortium. The scholarship will be awarded in two parts: $1,000 to an incoming freshman and then a second $1,000 if the student maintains GPA of 3.0 or higher.
