Our spring 2019 session is underway. Applications for spring 2020 will open in the fall.
College of Business students can build relationships with business professionals in Fargo thanks to our Business Connections mentoring program.
Students who apply and are selected for the program are paired with a business professional for a semester to learn about careers, industries, and day-to-day job responsibilities. Students are responsible to initiate contact with their mentors and to set the agenda for their meetings. Typical interactions between mentors and students may include meeting at local coffee shops or at their mentors’ office, job shadowing, office tours, exchanging emails regarding questions about the particular career field or position, and meeting with other members of the organizations.
Business Connections is open to any College of Business student, but is specifically targeted at freshmen, sophomore or junior students. By meeting with their business mentors throughout the semester, students are able to expand upon their classroom knowledge and see firsthand its applications to the real world of business. It’s the kind of program that helps NDSU students successfully compete in the workforce by creating strong connections to the business community during their college career.
