Center of Excellence for Advanced Electronics Design & Manufacturing (CAEDM)

The Vision

Match NDSU’s unique technology expertise with businesses striving to achieve results in fast-paced global markets. The vision of North Dakota’s Governor and Legislature resulted in the Economic Development Centers of Excellence Program being established in 2005. CAEDM’s mission includes spurring economic development in electronics, manufacturing and related disciplines.

What We Do

  • Assist industry partners and collaborators in meeting product and technology needs with research and development that result in new marketable technologies and products
  • Produce low volume prototype electronics
  • Enable and foster commercialization opportunities of new technologies and products in the advanced electronic and manufacturing industry
  • Focus on market-driven research and development to promote creation of high-value jobs and economic development opportunities in North Dakota
  • Enable NDSU to engage in market-driven private sector partnerships
  • Develop intellectual property available for licensing to the private sector
