Zachary Packineau (Mandan, Hidatsa, and Arikara Nation / Santa Clara Pueblo) is a graduate of North Dakota State University (2006) and University of Mary (2012) and is a certified yoga instructor.
Zach has spent the better part of his personal and professional career advancing social justice advocacy in the upper Midwest region. While mastering the art of wearing multiple hats in movement building, Zach has worked on two incredibly successful campaigns to defeat two restrictive ballot measures in North Dakota, each by a 2-to-1 margin. Zach is an experienced facilitator and sexual health educator, as well as a proud alumnus of the Midwest Academy of Organizing for Social Change, the Social Justice Training Institute, Camp Wellstone, and the North Dakota Change Network.
Prior to joining the American Indian Public Health Resource Center, Zach worked for Planned Parenthood Federation of America as a regional campaigns manager, in which he focused on capacity building, technical assistance, resource allocation, and strategic planning and local campaign development with Planned Parenthood affiliates in the Upper Midwest and in the Deep South. Zach has also had successful stints with the Bismarck Veterans Memorial Public Library, the American Civil Liberties Union of North Dakota, and Planned Parenthood Minnesota, North Dakota, South Dakota, and has previously served on the Board of Directors for PFund Foundation and Pollen Midwest.
