Cognitive Neuroscience Lab

Welcome to the Johnson Cognitive Neuroscience Lab @ NDSU.

The Johnson Cognitive Neuroscience Laboratory at North Dakota State University focuses on studying the dynamic neural processes underlying attention and working memory, and how disruption of these processes may contribute to the behavioral and cognitive deficits observed in psychiatric illnesses, such as schizophrenia, anxiety, and depression. To address these goals, our lab utilizes state of the art techniques, including behavioral measures, non-invasive brain stimulation (TMS), electroencephalography (EEG), and dynamic neural field modeling.
