  • Craig Kleven, BS ’00, MS ’06 agricultural education, was named assistant supervisor for agriculture education for the Department of North Dakota Career and Technical Education. He also will be assistant adviser for North Dakota FFA and be the organization’s executive secretary.
  • Claudia Schoellkopf, BArch ’01 architecture, BA ’01, German, received the Graciela Wilborn North Dakota Foreign Language Teacher of the Year Award. She has taught German in the Bismarck, North Dakota, Public Schools for 11 years.
  • Lane Volesky, BS ’06 business administration, is senior manager of learning and development for Verizon, where he manages training operations for financial services and sales chat channels. He lives in Wilmington, North Carolina.
  • Laura Januszewski, BS ’09 marketing, was named the head coach of the men’s and women’s cross country teams at Concordia College, Moorhead. She also will be an assistant track coach. She was an All-American runner while a student at NDSU.
  • Jenae Ste. Marie, BS ’05 sociology, joined Dawson Insurance, a Marsh and McLennan Agency LLC company, as a commercial operations manager. She previously was director of operations at Integreon, Fargo.
  • Linnea Wallace, BS ’07 zoology, participated in the Earth Expeditions global field course in Belize. She is an animal area assistant manager at the Kansas City Zoo.
  • Jacob Knodel, BS ’09 English education, was named an administrative intern for Eagles Elementary School, Fargo.
  • Kurt Lysne, BS ’06 civil engineering, was named a 2018 Young Professional of the Year by the American Council of Engineering Companies. He is one of only five nationwide to receive the honor. He is the water resources group leader at Moore Engineering.
  • Capt. Matthew Heil, BS ’08 mechanical engineering, was named the 2018 Active Military Person of the Year by the American Legion, Department of Indiana. He is Operations Flight Commander of the Air Force ROTC Detachment 215 at Indiana University in Bloomington. He previously was a NATO executive officer for the brigadier general in charge of the Kandahar Airfield in Afghanistan. 
  • Nathan Host, BS ’09 construction engineering, was named public works director for  North Mankato, Minnesota. He previously was an assistant project manager for M.A. Mortenson construction company of Minneapolis.
