  • Daniel Dunn, BS ’88 political science, was recognized by the Great Plains Super Lawyers list for 2017 in the area of plaintiff’s personal injury work. He is an attorney with the Maring Williams Law Office. 
  • Laurie Schlenker, BS ’86 English education, MS ’87, counseling and guidance, was inducted into the Fargo South Hall of Fame. She was a counselor at the high school and also a teacher and guidance counselor at Fargo Shanley High School.
  • Don Krenelka, BS ’83 earth science, joined Sandman Structural Engineers as a Revit technician. He has 27 years of structural CAD experience, with nine years of Revit.
  • Dennis Vonasek, BS ’88 environmental design, BArch ’88, architecture, has transferred to the Washington, D.C., office of HGA Architects and Engineers as vice president and healthcare practice group leader. He will direct strategic business development and client relations for the office’s Healthcare Practice Group serving the mid-Atlantic region. He has been with HGA for15 years, and was most recently the healthcare practice group leader in the firm’s Minneapolis office.
  • Joseph E. Zawierucha, BS ’81 agronomy, is co-owner of Rush River Orchard and Bakery in El Paso Township of Wisconsin. The orchard features apples, grapes, plums, tart cherries, blueberries and a pumpkin patch.
  • Bradley Brummond, BS ’82 agricultural education, agricultural Extension, was named to the State and Regional Halls of Fame for his lifelong service to the Extension Service. He is the agriculture and natural resources agent in Walsh County.
  • Gregory Endres, BS ’83 agronomy, BS ’93, crop and weed science, was named the regional winner in the Publication category by the National Association of County Agricultural Agents. He is the area Extension cropping systems specialist at the Carrington Research Extension Center. 
  • Daniel Folske, BS ’80 animal science, received the National Distinguished Service Award, which recognizes the recipient with a 10-plus-year Extension career for long-term effectiveness of Extension programming. He is the agriculture and natural resources agent in Burke County.
  • Cindy Larson-Casselton, MA ’82 speech, PhD ’13, communication, was promoted to professor at Concordia College, Moorhead.
  • Perry Miller, BS ’83 general agriculture, was named to the North Dakota Economic Development Foundation board of directors. He is a real estate developer in Wahpeton, North Dakota.
