  • Ye Yao, MS '13 mechanical engineering, is a performance engineer with Great River Energy, Underwood, North Dakota. He is helping the company market its DryFining technology in China. The technology is used at the company's Coal Creek Station, and can improve efficiency while lowering plant emissions. He lives in Washburn, North Dakota.
  • Kathleen F. Donovan, 82, BS '55 English, was a former resident of Charlotte, North Carolina. She lived in Portland, Oregon, at the time of her death.
  • Manny Carneri, MS '55 chemistry, reports he is enjoying retirement at his home in Miami Springs, Florida. He had a long career in management with Sherwin-Williams.
  • Alfred Warner, 84, BS '59 arts and science, had a 30-year career with Morrison County Social Services. He was president of the Morrison County Historical Society for more than four decades. He and his wife, Jan, received the Book of Golden Deeds Award for their contributions to the community. He lived in Little Falls, Minnesota.
  • William Henderson, 84, PhD '67 pharmacy, was an NDSU professor emeritus of pharmaceutical sciences. A longtime NDSU faculty member, he was chair of the Department of Pharmaceutics and Pharmacy Practice from 1974-78. He also headed the North Dakota Master Poison Control Center from 1974-77. He lived in Fargo.
  • Michelle Duppong, 31, BS '06 horticulture, was a missionary with the Fellowship of Catholic University Students, known as FOCUS. She mentored students at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln, South Dakota State University, University of South Dakota and the University of Mary. In 2012, she was named director of adult faith formation for the Diocese of Bismarck, North Dakota. She lived in Glen Ullin, North Dakota. 
  • Galen Nettum, 66, BS '71, MS '76 agricultural economics, owned 3 Keys Floral in Fargo from 1975 to 2003. He also was a claims manager and crop adjuster for NAU/QBE insurance. He was a co-founder of Fargo Flames hockey and a former member on the Fargo Patriots hockey board. He lived in Fargo.
  • Sylvester "Whitey" Klassen, 86, BS '57 civil engineering, had a career with the Iowa Highway Department and as city engineer for Burlington, Iowa. He established and was the longtime proprietor of Spirit Lake Resort in Vergas, Minnesota. He lived in Detroit Lakes, Minnesota.
  • Michael Kellen, 66, BS '70 electrical and electronic engineering, had a 30-year career with Hewlett Packard, including being manager of medical and electronic devices at the company. He was a member of the Power Squadron on Lake Minnetonka and the Minnetonka Country Club. He later became a realtor and lived in Cape Coral, Florida.
  • James Lindseth, 67, BS '89 civil engineering, worked for the State Water Commission for 24 years before retiring in 2014. He was an assistant scoutmaster for Boy Scout Troop 11 and a longtime member of the Flickertail Wood Carvers Club. He lived in Bismarck, North Dakota.
