  • Alf Clausen, BA ’63 music, honorary doctorate ’99, was selected to receive a 2016 Golden Score Award from the American Society of Music Arrangers and Composers during a gala event Nov. 6 in Los Angeles. Clausen has received two Emmy Awards and has been nominated for Emmy honors 30 times for his creative work for such TV shows as “The Simpsons,” “Moonlighting,” “ALF” and “Fame.”
  • Karin (Wilhelmson) Stoner, BS ’90 electrical and electronic engineering, was named vice president for strategic development at WECTEC, a wholly owned subsidiary of Westinghouse Electric Co. She previously was vice president for project management and integration. She is based in Charlotte, North Carolina.
  • Keith Repko, BS ’86, MS ’89 electrical and electronic engineering, was named director of the Veterans Affairs St. Louis Health Care System. His previous roles at the VA system include associate director, chief of facilities engineering and chief of biomedical 
  • Vanessa Lien, BSN ’11 nursing, DNP ’16, advanced nursing practice, joined the Family Medicine Department at the Essentia Health-West Acres Clinic in Fargo. She is certified as a family nurse practitioner by the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners.
  • Joshua Herbold, BS ’06 business administration, was promoted to business banking team lead at Bremer Bank, Fargo.
  • Kimberly Mutschelknaus, BS ’16 biochemistry and molecular biochemistry, joined Aldevron, Fargo, as a bio-manufacturing operator for Good Manufacturing Practices proteins and nucleic acid.
  • Jennifer Murphy, BS ’14, MS ’16 microbiology, was hired as a bio-manufacturing operator in the Good Manufacturing Practices-Source area at Aldevron, Fargo.
  • Thomas Deacon, BS ’03 business administration, joined Property Resources Group, Fargo, as its residential lot sales agent.
  • Stephanie Cossette, BA ’14 history, public history, international studies, was hired as a document coordinator for GMP proteins and nucleic acids at Aldevron, a biotechnology company with headquarters in Fargo.
  • Robin (Nelson) Carson, BS ’05 hospitality and tourism management, joined the Dan Whitman Team of Realty Executives North Plains, Fargo. She is a licensed Realtor in North Dakota and Minnesota.
