  • Joseph S. Miller, BS ’15, MArch ’16 architecture, is the youngest registered architect in Nevada history, according to records of the Nevada State Board of Architecture, Interior Design and Residential Design. Miller, who is 24, was sworn in as a Nevada registered architect on June 7. He works at Klai Juba Wald in Las Vegas.
  • Ashley Crow, BArch ’16, MArch ’17 architecture, joined Meyer Group Architecture, Duluth, Minnesota, as a designer.
  • Bryon Fuchs, BS ’97 civil engineering, received the Dr. L.I. Hewes Award from the Western Association of State Highway and Transportation Officials. The honor recognizes outstanding contributions to the highway development program and is presented to a person actively engaged in highway development. He is a transportation engineer for the North Dakota Department of Transportation in Bismarck. 
  • Jason Gullicks, BS ’97 civil engineering, was named the Bismarck, North Dakota, operations manager for Apex Engineering Group.
  • Andrew Brammer, BS ’07 biological sciences, opened Dakota Highlights Commercial Cleaning. The company provides professional, specialized and detailed commercial, janitorial and office cleaning services to the Fargo, Moorhead and West Fargo area.
  • Rocky Schneider, MBA ’10 business administration, earned certified floodplain manager designation from the Association of State Floodplain Managers. He is a public affairs strategist for Advanced Engineering and Environmental Services in Fargo.
  • Jessica Almlie, MS ’11 educational leadership, was promoted to vice president of learning experience at Discovery Benefits in Fargo.
  • Sophia Hanson, BS ’91 plant pathology, joined Aldevron in Fargo as a quality control analyst.
  • John F. Schneider, BS ’93 economics, was named economic development and finance division director at the North Dakota Department of Commerce. He served as interim director since January.
  • Jamie Trachsel, MEd ’06 education, was selected to lead the University of Minnesota softball program. She previously was head coach at Iowa State University.
