  • Russell Peterson, BArch ’86, architectural studies, was elected president of the Minnesota Chapter of the Association of Licensed Architects. August 2015
  • Russell Peterson, BArch ’86, architectural studies, and Marcia Stemwedel, BArch ’86, architecture, have merged their architecture firms and founded Clever Architecture LLC. The firm is located in St. Paul, Minnesota.  August 2015
  • Scott Woken, BS ’87, athletic training, was promoted to assistant athletic director for sports medicine for NDSU Athletics. He has been the head athletic trainer at NDSU since 1989. August 2015
  • Jack Maughan, BS ’87, physical education, will be the sport administrator for NDSU wrestling. Maughan returned to NDSU in 2012 after being head wrestling coach at Northern Colorado. August 2015
  • Loel Fetting, BS ’81, civil engineering, was hired as a senior engineer and associate principal by Braun Intertec, Fargo. August 2015
  • Lonnie Laffen, BArch '82, architecture, BA '82, architectural studies, is president of JLG Architects. The Minneapolis-St. Paul Business Journal recently ranked JLG fifth on a list of the top 25 architectural firms in the Twin Cities. JLG has nearly 100 full-time employees at nine offices. July 2015
  • Robert Ruud, BS ’87, electrical and electronic engineering, MBA ’06, business administration, and Susan Ruud, BS '83, MS ’87, bacteriology, recently opened Prairie Rose Meadery in south Fargo.  July 2015
  • Kendall Bohn, BA ’89, art, sells 24 of his own coloring books. His designs include abstract patterns and his interpretation of mandalas, dinosaurs, butterflies and fairy  July 2015
  • Randall D. Johnson, BS '85, agricultural economics, was hired by Wanzek Construction, Fargo, as director of human resources. He previously held a senior level regional sales management position at Titan Machinery. July 2015
  • Todd Lorenzen, BS ’84, construction engineering, joined Big Sky Civil and Environmental Inc. as a geotechnical engineer/project manager. He will manage Big Sky Civil and Environmental's branch office in Missoula, Montana. He also serves as assistant football coach at Missoula Hellgate High School. July 2015
