  • Heidi Uglem, BS ’86, child development and family science, was named center director of Learn ’n Move Childcare Center in Fargo, a new nonprofit 501(c)3 organization formed by the Anne Carlsen Center and TNT Kid’s Fitness. It is expected to open June 1. May 2016
  • Bret Anderson, BS ’83, civil engineering, was named a stockholder at Fargo-based Northern Technologies. He is a principal engineer. May 2016
  • Edward Vance, BArch '81, architecture, was elected secretary of the American Institute of Architects College of Fellows Executive Committee. He a past professor at the University of Nevada-Las Vegas College of Architecture, and continues to guest lecture in professional practice classes and juries design studios. He lives in Las Vegas. April 2016
  • Susan Quamme, BS '87, home economics education, MEd '11, counseling, joined the NDSU Extension Service’s Center for 4-H Youth Development as an Extension specialist. April 2016
  • Brent Christian, BS '84, civil engineering, joined RPS Klotz Associates as vice president and regions practice manager for Austin and San Antonio, Texas. April 2016
  • Michael Mathias, BS '80, psychology, qualified for membership in the Court of the Table of the Million Dollar Roundtable, an international, independent association of nearly 19,000 leading life insurance producers. He is a wealth management adviser and a financial representative with Gores Group of Northwestern Mutual, Fargo. April 2016
  • Steven Stalboerger, BArch '86, architectural studies, joined JLG Architects’ Healthcare Practice Studio as a medical planner. April 2016
  • Albert Ulmer, BS '81, soil science, was recognized March 11 as the Crop Show Honoree at the North Dakota Winter Show’s State Crop Show. He retired in 2014 after 21 years as the Extension agent in LaMoure County. Prior to that, he was in Eddy County for 10 years. April 2016
  • Scott Wadeson, BS '89, political science, joined the North Dakota general office of New York Life in Fargo as an agent for the company. February 2016
  • Peter Welte, BS '89, agricultural economics, is a shareholder in the Vogel Law Firm, with offices in Fargo, Bismarck and Grand Forks, Moorhead and Minneapolis. He joined the firm in 2015 after being the state’s attorney of Grand Forks County since 2002. February 2016
