  • Steve Peck, BArch ’92, architecture, has been promoted to associate principal at Klai Juba Wald Architects in Las Vegas, Nevada.
 He is responsible for managing large-scale integrated resort projects throughout the United States. Since joining the firm in 1996, he has participated in many large casino resort projects, such as the Hard Rock Hotel and Casino in Hollywood and Tampa, Florida; SKY Las Vegas; Cannery Hotel and Casino in North Las Vegas; and Indiana Live! in Shelbyville, Indiana.   • Randy Heller, BS ’99, accounting, was named a partner at Widmer Roel, a public accounting and business firm. He has been with the company since 2004, and is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, North Dakota Society of Certified Public Accountants, Red River Valley Estate Planning Council and the Fargo-Moorhead AM Rotary Club. December 2016
  • Steve W. Iverson, BS ’92, environmental design, landscape architecture, is a senior project manager for Moore Engineering Inc. He previously was employed by L2H Development. December 2016
  • Brandon Skiple, BS ’94, civil engineering, has rejoined Heyer Engineering as a senior structural engineer. He has been with the company as a licensed professional engineer since 1996, and rejoined as a team leader in charge of coordinating structural design of buildings and other structures. December 2016
  • Shane Waslaski, BS ’98, zoology, joined the board of the NDSU Research and Technology Park. He is president, CEO and a board member at Intelligent InSites, Fargo. November 2016
  • Michael Laverdure, BArch ’97, architecture, was elected to the National American Indian Science and Engineering Society board of directors. He is a principal and architect at DSGW and president of a Native American-owned planning firm, the First American Design Studio. November 2016
  • Karin (Wilhelmson) Stoner, BS ’90, electrical and electronic engineering, was named vice president for strategic development at WECTEC, a wholly owned subsidiary of Westinghouse Electric Co. She previously was vice president for project management and integration. She is based in Charlotte, North Carolina. October 2016
  • Brian C. Berg, BArch ’91, architecture, was inducted into the Oak Grove Lutheran School Hall of Fame. He a founder of Zerr Berg Architects in Fargo. At Oak Grove, he played trumpet in the band and sang in choir. After graduation, he served in the North Dakota National Guard for 20 years. October 2016
  • Jeff Nygaard, BS ’90, mass communication, was named commissioner of the United States Prospects Hockey League. He served as executive director of the Eastern Hockey League for the past four years and is a former owner/operator of the Washington Junior Nationals in the Atlantic Junior Hockey League. He lives in Moseley, Virginia. September 2016
  • Steven P. Wagner, BS ’96, mass communication, was named the new Forum News Service director in Fargo. He previously was editor of the Grand Forks Herald. September 2016
