  • Jared Nesje, BS '96, environmental design, BArch '96, architecture, was named CEO at TSP in Sioux Falls, South Dakota, effective Oct. 1. He is a principal and senior architect with the group, and previously guided TSP design teams as a project manager and discipline lead. He will be only the fifth CEO to lead the firm since it was founded in 1930. March 2016
  • Rebecca Lewis, BS '90, environmental design, BArch '90, architecture, was named to the College of Fellows of the American Institute of Architects. Lewis is a principal of DSGW Architects, Duluth, Minnesota. February 2016
  • Loren Yellow Bird, BS '99, sociology, was a technical adviser and linguistic consultant for the movie, “The Revenant,” starring Leonardo DiCaprio. The film won three Golden Globe Awards and received 12 Oscar nominations. Yellow Bird is a cultural resource interpreter and park ranger at the Fort Union Trading Post National Historic Site located southwest of Williston, North Dakota. February 2016
  • Brent Wasem, BS '92, electrical and electronics engineering, was promoted to business lead/materials management at American Crystal Sugar Co., Moorhead, Minnesota. He has worked with the company for 17 years. February 2016
  • Marcus “Todd” Wash, BS '94, physical education, MEd '96, secondary education, was promoted to defensive coordinator for the Jacksonville Jaguars football team. He replaces former Bison head coach Bob Babich. February 2016
  • Lonnie Wangen, BUS '95, university studies, was commissioned as a Kentucky Colonel, the highest title of honor given by the commonwealth of Kentucky honoring those who have dedicated their lives to civic service. He has been North Dakota's veteran affairs commissioner since 2008 and served with the North Dakota Army National Guard for 27 years. February 2016
  • Joseph Hastings, BS '95, crop and weed sciences, was promoted to ag strategy development manager at American Crystal Sugar Co., Moorhead, Minnesota. He joined the company in 2003. February 2016
  • David J. Stordalen, BS '93, music education, is the director of bands at New Ulm Public High School in New Ulm, Minnesota. January 2016
  • Dominic Spadafore, BS '95, economics, was promoted to associate in the Tulsa, Oklahoma, office of Dewberry, a professional services firm. He is a registered architect and interior designer in Oklahoma, a LEED accredited professional, and a part of the National Council of Architectural Registration Board. He is a member of the American Institute of Architects, where he has served as treasurer of the Eastern Oklahoma Chapter since 2012. January 2016
  • Steven Rosenau, BS '91, industrial engineering, was promoted to treasurer at American Crystal Sugar Co. He has been with the company for 21 years. January 2016
