  • Gary Liguori, PhD ’05, human development, was named the inaugural dean of the newly formed College of Health Sciences at the University of Rhode Island. His research on such topics as physical activity, nutrition, obesity, physical assessment and cardiac rehabilitation has been published widely in academic journals. He is a USA Track and Field certified level one track and field coach and a certified track and field meet official. August 2016
  • Mara Brust, BA ’07, journalism, broadcast mass communication technology, was included in the 2016 Great Plains Rising Stars list by Super Lawyers. She is an attorney at Conmy Feste Ltd. in Fargo. The annual Great Plains Super Lawyers list is made up  August 2016
  • Jocelyn McCarthy, BS ’07, criminal justice, was promoted to implementation manager at Discovery Benefits, Fargo. She joined the company in 2013. August 2016
  • Angela Kussatz, BS ’02, human performance and fitness, was promoted to operations manager at Discovery Benefits, Fargo. She joined the company in 2003 as a flex operations specialist and later served as a client manager, senior accounting operations specialist, payment operations team lead and most recently operations supervisor-payment and mail distribution. August 2016
  • Robert Maeyaert, BS ’04, management information systems, was promoted to director of project management at Discovery Benefits, Fargo. He joined the company in 2014. August 2016
  • Leslie Koltes, BSN ’04, nursing, DNP ’09, advanced nursing practice, earned the Golden Stethoscope Award for excellence in patient care, customer service, communication and teamwork. She is a nurse practitioner specializing in neurology at Sanford Medical Center Broadway. August 2016
  • Derrick Wolbaum, BS ’04, environmental design, BLA’04, landscape architecture, was promoted to senior associate at Rhodeside and Harwell, Alexandria, Virginia. He has 11 years of experience and recently completed the landscape design for a major mixed-use tower in Tysons Corner, Virginia. July 2016
  • Natalie (Cross) Parker, BS ’09, accountancy was named senior vice president, chief financial officer of the Citizens Bank of Edmond, Oklahoma. The position leads all financial and accounting operations at the bank. She previously was the lead financial institutions audit manager at Hogan Taylor, one of Oklahoma’s largest accounting firms. July 2016
  • Scott Howell, BS ’04, environmental design, BArch ’04, architecture, completed the American Institute of Architects Minnesota seventh annual Leadership Forum program. He is an architect for Cunningham Group Architecture Inc. July 2016
  • Christopher Willette, BS ’01, environment design, BArch ’01, architecture, completed the American Institute of Architects Minnesota seventh annual Leadership Forum program. He is a project architect with Elness Swenson Graham Architects. July 2016
