  • Kurt Lysne, BS '06, civil engineering, was recognized as the Young Engineer of the Year by the F-M Engineers Club. He works at Moore Engineering, West Fargo, and is a certified floodplain manager. March 2016
  • Jeff Bozovsky, BS '07, history, has written "Divorcees, Barmaids, and Cranks: The 1897 Red River Valley Baseball League," a book about the first professional baseball league in the region. It had teams in Fargo, Grand Forks, Moorhead and Wahpeton-Breckenridge. An ebook version is available at  March 2016
  • Kya (Blestrud) Schroeder, BS '06, environmental design, MArch '07, architecture, was named one of the "Top 25 Women in Business" by Prairie Business magazine. The publication honored businesswomen of the northern plains for their exemplary leadership, motivation, ambition and talent. She is vice president and architect for LJA in Fargo. She is a registered architect in North Dakota and an accredited LEED designer. March 2016
  • Kurt Lysne, BS '06, civil engineering, received the 2016 Chapter 4 F-M Engineers Club Young Engineer of the Year award. The award recognizes a young North Dakota Society of Professional Engineers member who has made outstanding contributions to the engineering profession and the community. He is a water resources project manager for Moore Engineering, West Fargo, North Dakota. March 2016
  • Josh Maynard, BS '06, criminal justice, was promoted to clinical supervisor at ShareHouse, Fargo. He has been employed at ShareHouse since 2005.     March 2016
  • Amanda Kohn Running, BS '09, environmental design, MArch '10, architecture, passed her LEED Accredited Professional Building Design and Construction exam. She is an architect for Guernsey Tingle Architects of Williamsburg, Virginia. She joined the firm in 2011, and lives in James City County. February 2016
  • Kevin Wolsky, BS '01, agricultural economics, and his wife, Jennifer, were selected national winners at the 60th annual National Outstanding Young Farmers Awards Congress Feb. 11-14 in Cincinnati. Four national winners were selected based on their progress in an agricultural career, extent of soil and water conservation practices and civic contributions. They have a farm near Carrington, North Dakota. February 2016
  • Kristy (Simmons) Janigo, BS ‘05, apparel studies and mass communication, developed a new clothing line for Target called “Who What Wear.” She is a senior technical designer and product development manager at Target in Minneapolis. February 2016
  • Melinda (Erhardt) Piatz, BS '05, was promoted to shareholder with Brady, Martz and Associates, Bismarck, North Dakota. February 2016
  • Shaun Carlson, BS '01, management information systems, was promoted to director of information technology at Arvig, a broadband provider in Perham, Minnesota. He joined the company in 2011. February 2016
