  • Thomas Richter, BS ’91 electrical and electronic engineering, is the new vice rector of the St. Paul Seminary in St. Paul, Minnesota.
  • Arlen E. Meuchel, BS ’92 electrical and electronic engineering, is a program manager at John Deere Electronic Solutions, Fargo. 2018 marks his 22nd year at John Deere. 
  • Lisa Donat, BS ’99 business administration, was promoted to vice president and compliance officer at Western State Bank. She will direct the regulatory compliance program and perform compliance reviews for Western State Bank and Western Equipment Finance.
  • Mark P. Jensen, BS ’94 business administration, economics, MBA ’95, business administration, was promoted to senior vice president and risk officer at Western State Bank, Fargo. He is a board member for the Risk Management Association and volunteers with the American Red Cross, Fargo North High DECA and Junior Achievement.
  • Shannon Terry, MS ’94 social science, was named public information officer for Otter Tail County in Minnesota. She is responsible for promoting county programs, services, activities, regulations, objectives and administrative proceedings to a wide variety of audiences.
  • R. Scott Semmens, MS ’95 anthropology, is a retired high-school science teacher and teaches an animal tracking course at Keene State College. He lives in Stoddard, New Hampshire.
  • Mark Jirik, BS ’98 agricultural economics, was named director of the Northern Crops Institute at NDSU. He has more than 17 years of experience in commodity merchandising and commercial management at Cargill.
  • Tracy Eslinger, BS ’94 civil engineering, recently graduated from the American Council of Engineering Companies of North Dakota Emerging Leadership Institute. He is a senior project manager in the municipal group at Moore Engineering’s West Fargo office.
  • William Shomento, BS ’90 industrial engineering, was promoted to colonel in the Montana Army National Guard. He serves as the Brigade commander of the 1889th RSG comprised of 2,200 soldiers across Montana.
  • Mary Joan Braun Widiger, BS ’90 mass communication, has contracted with the Agricultural Utilization Research Institute for the position of communications and events specialist. Headquartered out of Crookston, Minnesota, AURI has offices and laboratories in Marshall, St. Paul and Waseca, Minnesota. She lives in Fergus Falls, Minnesota.
