  • Ronald Grieger, 75, BS ’65 physical education, taught for 14 years in the Racine, Wis., schools. He previously taught at Midway School, which is near Forest River, Fordville and Inkster, N.D. He lived in Racine.
  • Kyle Kassman, 29, BS ’09 psychology, was pursuing his doctorate in experimental psychology at the University of North Dakota. He lived in Grand Forks, N.D.
  • Carl R. Ekern, 90, BS ’48 civil engineering, was vice president of Mid-America Steel in Fargo. He served on the boards of the Fargo Chamber of Commerce, St. Luke's Hospital, Fargo Country Club and Northwestern Savings Bank. He lived in Fargo.
  • Marvin Nelson, 71, BS ’65 civil engineering, was an Army veteran who worked for Burlington Northern Railroad. He lived in Granbury, Texas.
  • Ronald Grendahl, 75, BS ’61 mechanical engineering, worked as a mechanical engineering field support structures supervisor at Cessna Aircraft for more than 32 years. He lived in Wichita, Kan.
  • Ella ”Faye” (Thompson) Gailfus, 73, BS ’62 music, taught music in North Dakota, Iowa and then more than 30 years at the Sun Prairie, Wis., School District. She live in Sun Prairie.
  • James Falck, 84, BARCH ’53 architecture, had a career in architecture that included stops in Houston; Flagstaff, Ariz.; Phoenix; Denver; and Boston. In 1971, he began his 17-year career as chief landscape architect for the Metropolitan Park System in Boston. He lived in Beverly, Mass.
  • Joan (Nydahl) Mayes, 84, BS ’51 home economics education, lived in Casselton, Fingal, Wishek, Kindred and Jamestown, N.D., before moving to Dousman, Wis., in 2010.
  • Clarence “Chuck” Just, 78, BS ’61 agricultural engineering, worked for the Bureau of Reclamation and also started a private engineering firm called C.A. Just Engineering and Surveying. He lived in Fargo.
  • Robert Johnson, 90, BS ’50 arts and science, was a Navy veteran who lived in Byers, Texas.
