  • Nicholas Sauer, BS '10 electrical engineering, was hired as a controls engineer by JDP Automation, Moorhead. He previously worked for Rooster Tech.
  • Margaret (Hanson) Mitchell, 100, BS '35 education, was a mathematics teacher in Taylor, North Dakota, and Osceola, Iowa. She lived in Osceola.
  • Gary Bjella, 71, BS '65 zoology, owned a dental practice for 20 years in Scottsdale, Arizona. He later became a realtor and owned Hague Water Systems. He lived in Denver. 
  • Agnes (Wanner) Aman, 74, Diploma '62 Bismarck Hospital School of Nursing, worked 49 years as a registered nurse in Bismarck, North Dakota. She lived in Bismarck.
  • Wallace Hickman, 82, BS '63 physical education, worked for Volkswagen and Fargo Tire in Fargo before opening a retread business in Sioux Falls, South Dakota. He was a longtime softball player and manager. He lived in Brookings, South Dakota.
  • Jeanne (Bull) Houghton, 91, MA '74 English, worked for Good Housekeeping magazine in New York, before moving to Texas and later North Dakota. She focused on raising four children and being involved in numerous charitable organizations. She lived in Pelican Lake, Minnesota, and Green Valley, Arizona.
  • Dr. Robert Grant, 86, BS '52 chemistry, taught orthopedics at Sawtelle in Los Angeles as chief of orthopedics and held a private practice before ending his career as a special consultant. He retired in 1997. He was an NDSU Development Foundation Life Trustee. He lived in Agoura, California.
  • Rev. Marvin Holje, 86, BS '52 agriculture, was an Evangelical Lutheran Church pastor for 36 years in Woodworth, Napoleon, Harvey and Underwood, North Dakota. He served in the Army during the Korean War. He lived in Minot, North Dakota. 
  • Daron Scherr, 46, BS '91 biotechnology, ran the Sleep Institute in Idaho Falls, Idaho, and the Health and Wellness Center in Pocatello, Idaho. He was a diplomat of the American Board of Sleep Medicine, the American Board of Internal Medicine and a fellow of the American Academy of Sleep Medicine. He lived in Ft. Myers, Florida. 
  • Donald Davidson, 86, BS '56 civil engineering, was a civil engineer in Denver, working on the Glen Canyon Dam project. He later earned a Doctor of Optometry degree and owned a practice in San Rafael, California. He lived in Palm Desert, California.
