Class Notes


  • Carl Sandager, 86, BS '57 agricultural education, was an Air Force veteran who served in Guam and Okinawa. He operated a family farm until his retirement in 1994. He was a founding board member of Tri-County Rural Water District. He lived in Lakota, North Dakota.
  • Anneus Meester, 77, BS '72 MS '85, agricultural education, EDS '86, educational administration, worked in education at NDSU, Lisbon, Cooperstown, and Valley City, North Dakota. He later worked for Moore Engineering in West Fargo. He lived in Horace, North Dakota.
  • Edmund Tyson, 83, BS '56 economics, was a salesman for Lever Brothers Co. and later was a stockbroker for Dain Bosworth, gaining the title of senior vice president/investment officer. He lived in Fargo.
  • Dianne (Foreng) Walsh, 77, BS '67 English, worked in the television industry early in her life in Fargo; Grand Forks, North Dakota; Denver; and Albuquerque, New Mexico. She later married and raised eight children. She lived in Osakis, Minnesota. 
  • Laverne Russell, 82, BS '55 pharmacy, owned a pharmacy in Boulder, Colorado, and later was a pharmacy manager for King Soopers, retiring in 2004 He lived in Longmont, Colorado.
